Policy
Rental Requirements
For self driven vehicles we require to sign contract with registered company as a party of the contract. Driver shall have an employment contract with secured company and company's ID.
For Renters who wish to drive themselves, but are not able to get a surety from their employers, we will consider individually and we can agree to keep their passports as deposit. We are compelled to do this as due to lack of possibilities of any other security.
For those Renters who won't be able to provide us required surety, we will rent a car with a professional driver who will be their guide and travel assistant at the same time. Our drivers are experienced, English speaking, discreet and polite.
Rental duration
The rental duration is calculated on the basis of 24 hours' periods and starts after the Renter is given the car keys. Our vehicles are not available on an hourly rate. If the period is exceeded by more than 30 minutes, another full day will be charged. The final invoice will be issued after the car is given back to Solidarity Cars by the Renter.
Travel Outside The Borders Of Tanzania
It is not permitted to leave the territory of Tanzania with the rented car, unless the special agreement will be concluded on this subject.
Refuelling Charge
The cars are delivered with full tanks and should be given back with the same amount of fuel. Otherwise the Renter will be charged with the refueling costs of 2 $ per 1 liter of missing fuel, as rental rates do not include fuel cost.
One Way:
One way is a possibility to return the car at other point than Solidarity rental station and it requires prior agreement with Solidarity Office. See detailed General Rental Conditions.
Insurance
Each car rented at Solidarity Cars is covered by comprehensive insurance including: third party, car damage and passengers liability. In case of accident caused by Renter he/she is obliged to cover excess costs, which are different for each car. Rules of conduct in case of accident and the necessary phone numbers are provided together with the rental agreement.
Special Equipment
Child safety seats are available for those who will be traveling to town with young children - please do reservation before. Location hours may vary. Please give us a call if you will be arriving on a holiday or after office hours to discuss our locations hours of operation.
2nd Choice Vehicle
Although, we will try our very best to provide you with the vehicle of your choice. We ask for you to choose an alternative vehicle in the event your first choice becomes unavailable. Unfortunately, we have no control over vehicles not being returned by customers on time or if the vehicle is returned with physical or mechanical damage.
Age Requirements
Minimum Age: 23
All drivers must have a valid driver’s license and full coverage insurance.
Drivers under the age of 25 are subject to an underage fee.
